Potluck Date Change
Our June potluck has been postponed to the fourth Saturday, June 27. This will be a special farewell potluck for Fr. Herman.
Solemnity of the Birth of John the Baptist

June 24 is the Solemnity of the Birth of John the Baptist. This important feast stands at the opposite point in the calendar from Christmas. From this feast all the way to Christmas, the daylight decreases, just as St. John said, "He must increase; I must decrease."
To celebrate this feast, we will have a special Mass on June 24 at 6pm.
40 Hour Devotion

Please be as generous as you can and join in our first 40-hour devotion at All Saints from Thurs June 25th to Sat June 27th. Let us especially pray for our Pope and the college of cardinals and for Holy Mother Church, as the Holy Father meets with the cardinals during his second consistory on June 26th and 27th.
Our Lord and Blessed Mother will surely bless our efforts. Let us pray too for our parish family, for Fr. Herman, and for our new priest Fr. Ronnie Dolosa.
Summer Seminar Series
Our June seminar meeting will take place next Friday, June 19th at 6pm. The book we will discuss is Ronald Knox's The Mass In Slow Motion. Join us at the home of Vicki and Chris Borin for fellowship and a lively discussion of the selected reading. Deepen your appreciation of the Mass in general, and the extraordinary form in particular, by reading this delightful series of sermons written for the students of a convent school in England during World War II. Please consider bringing a finger food contribution and contact Vicki Borin or Kay Beers with any questions. Please text rsvp yes to 540-404-2857 or 704-488-6932 so that we can have enough seating. Stay tuned for the July and August seminar series book selection.
Friday Five goes on Vacation
The Friday Five will take a break from weekly distribution through the summer. However, be on the lookout for a monthly July and August newsletter, and one-off emails as required. Also, check our website regularly for information, updates, and to view past newsletters. Please leave a comment at the bottom of this page to let us know your thoughts regarding the Friday Five and any suggestions you may have. Have a wonderful summer season.
