Spiritual Exercises
Cor Jesu Apostolate will be offering the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius for women 16 and over, in Hickory, NC, on September 25–27.
The Spiritual Exercises were composed by St. Ignatius of Loyola in the 16th century, inspired by his own experience of conversion. They are deeply rooted in Catholic Tradition built upon the Gospel and sound Catholic theology. The retreat in its fullness is a 30-day, silent withdrawal from the world in order to know oneself better, grow greatly in the knowledge and love of Christ, and discern God’s will in one’s life. However, from the beginning, St. Ignatius meant for this method to be adapted according to the circumstances of the retreatant. Cor Jesu Apostolate offers a variety of shorter Spiritual Exercises for the laity (typically over a weekend), faithfully following St. Ignatius’s method.
Bible Study
Our weekly parish Bible study will resume on Monday, September 14. We will be studying the books of Tobit, Judith and Esther using the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, with commentary, notes and study questions (Revised Standard Version, Second Catholic Edition). You can purchase a single volume study that includes these three books. We plan a 7-week study of Tobit, an 8-week study of Judith and a 5-week study of Esther. This should take us into the early new year.

Adoration and Benediction
Beginning on September 5th and continuing each first Saturday there will be Adoration of our Eucharistic Lord here at All Saints Catholic Church. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be at 4:00pm. Benediction will conclude adoration at 4:45pm. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass follows at 5:00pm each Saturday. Confession continues to be available during this time.
Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) - The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, or OCIA, formerly known as RCIA, is the process by which we receive adults into full communion with the Church. This period of formation is an important time for new and returning Catholics to learn and grow in their faith while preparing to receive the Sacraments.

Fatima Pilgrimage
“Follow the Footsteps of the Message of Fatima” is a 13 day pilgrimage through Portugal and Spain. The winter 2027 pilgrimage is from January 24th - February 5th. This pilgrimage is offered by the Luminaries of Holy Mary 2-3 times per year as part of their apostolate to spread the message of Fatima in the USA. The Luminaries of Holy Mary are a U.S. based 501(c)(3) lay prayer movement united to and sustained by the Aliança de Santa Maria, a religious congregation dedicated to spreading the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. Their mission is to deepen faith through the Immaculate Heart of Mary by promoting Our Lady’s Messages of Fatima and encouraging a life of prayer, conversion, and devotion. As a lay movement, the Luminaries seek to form spiritual families where members grow together in faith, hope, and charity through a deeper experience of the Message of Fatima. This apostolic mission extends far beyond prayer groups and includes retreats, pilgrimages, conferences, and other spiritual events, as well as supporting the work of the Aliança, including the development of a new novitiate house and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Retreat Center. Through these efforts, the Luminaries also participate in evangelization and in sharing the beauty and hope of the Fatima Message throughout the United States and beyond.
